    Waymo robotaxis approved for Los Angeles and more San Francisco areas

    The California Public Utilities Fee (CPUC) accredited a proposal from Alphabet’s Waymo to broaden its fared, fully driverless robotaxi providers to Los Angeles and a few cities close to San Francisco, efficient on Friday.

    Waymo, which already operates in San Francisco and Phoenix, utilized on January 19 to broaden its driverless providers, saying it could work with policymakers, first responders, and neighborhood organizations. Final month, the CPUC suspended the appliance “for additional employees assessment.”
